Belfry Bat v1.0.1 Update


Good evening,

What has been changed in the Belfry Bat v1.0.1 update:

  • Multitouch support added.
  • Control has been modified to be in "Primacy" mode, instead of "Exclusion" mode, by default. This can be toggled with the "Direction Primacy" gameplay option. When inputting axial directions which are contradictory in a classic D-pad or analog stick input scheme, such as "UP and DOWN" or "LEFT and RIGHT", the direction which was pressed latest takes priority over older presses. While OFF, contradictory axial direction inputs will cancel each other out and result in no input on that axis.
  • "A" now also turns. This can be disabled in the options.
  • Holding directions with "Both Directions" enabled will automatically turn at earliest convenience.
  • Fixed error that prevented turning when switching key directions on a single frame.
  • Music loading and unloading improved, reducing memory usage.
  • Music properly loops after restarts.
  • Touch control graphics modified.
  • Touch controls now turn periwinkle during the boss battle.
  • Added turn cooldown indicator.
  • Start button no longer needs to be pressed once before following presses enable the pause menu.
  • You can now pause during the boss battle.
  • Post-death spike immunity added.
  • Player can no longer die to the trephine after boss defeat.
  • Fixed camera angle change in level intro.
  • Camera no longer reveals the secret ledge to the left of the screen after a restart.
  • Minor touch-up to TextEngine.
  • Further specified the version of GDevelop as 5.3 in credits.
  • Added special thanks to the GDevelop BIG Game Jam #5 participants in credits.

The original jam desktop builds will remain downloadable, barring any critical problems discovered in the future.
