"You really should make a friend, you know."

Meet Nathan, a lonesome middle-schooler who's been given a seven-step ritual guaranteed to make friends. If the man in the cream suit is to be believed, it only takes some clay, some candles, and a small mammal. The only catch: he has to find those things in his own room.

  • Collect the ritual ingredients throughout the room. You may have to make a substitution here or there.
  • Perform the steps within the interactive desk interface.
  • Decide the fate of this house. There are seven steps, but there is only one choice...

...will you make a friend?

This game was so much fun! I absolutely loved the graphics and the story line was so cool. The little hints for achieving the endings were super helpful and I was able to get every ending! I am a sucker for these types of games and overall loved it!

Really interesting new endings. I feel like the original was good but the extra "lore" and dialogue was really cool and a good alternative to sacrificing the cat lol. Really enjoyable aesthetic for me too. Here's my playthrough with all endings -

I loved this so much, the music, the style, the story. I could not bring myself to go for the other ending but I still think this is marvelous. The way you did the smile on the guy is so creepy, amazing. It's a follow from me!

Also: those content warnings at the beginning were really sweet, I really appreciated it.

I enjoyed the gameboy look and the tone the game took. Also, poor cat. Getting covered in oil. XD

Oh dear.

This error pops up when the game is unable to load mplus-1m-regular.ttf in www/fonts. For example, when I remove that file and try running it, it throws the same error.

But if mplus-1m-regular.ttf hasn't been moved from www/fonts, I'm not sure why the program isn't able to load it.

I know RPG Maker MV games can be picky about filepaths, especially on non-Windows devices, which can cause loading errors. However, I don't see anything specifically wrong with yours. In case it is, I would suggest attempting to run the game from a different filepath, but that is all I have.

I apologize for the inconvenience.

not problem maybe you try godot sorry my english not good

(1 edit)

It appears, based on the information in the screenshots you've provided and my own research, that there might be an incompatibility with the version of FontConfig used in the version of nw.js RPGMMV uses and the version of FontConfig installed on your device.

It is possible (I’m not saying it's likely) that downloading a different/newer version of nw.js and extracting it into the game folder, thereby overwriting the version of nw.js being used, could solve the problem.

In any case, I am unable to help you further. It appears to be an incompatibility specific to your device, and I am not equipped to inform you on these matters. I would recommend seeking help from people who know more about running software on Arch Linux. I apologize. I hope you have a pleasant day.

okay so sad
